Revealed Secrets

"I can sense something" whispered Sakura. Madison looked at her "really? But how?"

"I don't know" replied Sakura in another whisper.

Sakura stood in the street; the gentle wind pushed at her and Madison, but she stood firm with her roller blades on.

"Is it strong?" asked Madison, pulling her camera from her school bag, a long smile across her face.

Sakura closed her eyes and focused out. Everything was black, and then small images focused in and out, then nothing.

"I can sense a Clow Card, but I don't know where" said Sakura opening her eyes.

"I thought.... I mean, there are no more Clow Cards are there?" asked Madison.

"Well no" said Sakura.

Both Madison and Sakura stood thinking in the street the wind chilling them in school uniforms.

"Hey squirt. You're getting home late," said Tori, pulling his bike to a stop. "Hi Tori" grinned Madison politely. "Hi" grunted Tori in reply.

"Ugh, what?" broke in Sakura dazed out.

'Ring ring'

"Oh, my cell phone" gasped Madison, pulling it from her bag with one hand.

"Hello? Oh, hi mum. Sorry, I meant to call, I'm just going over to Sakura's. All right. Bye."

Sakura's mouth was open a little in surprise as Madison put her camera and phone back, "No capture then" she mumbled uneasily.

Tori looked at his watch and his eyes broadened; "I'm going to be late for work" he breathed, pushing his bike to go. "Don't walk so slow" he sang back.

'He's right" agreed Sakura, "but what about the Clow Card?" whispered Madison as a mother and son walked past. "Oh yeah! I'll have to ask Kero"

Sakura and Madison then began to walk, "if there is another Clow Card, then Li may come" said Madison nudging Sakura on the arm. "Madison" said Sakura blushing nervously.

As Sakura went into her house, watchful eyes were upon her and every move she made.

Sadako watched from the bushes at the girl she knew all too well about.

"Kero! I'm home" declared Sakura, moving into her room.

Kero was asleep though, lying on her pillow kicking out occasionally.

"Kero! Kero?" breathed Sakura picking him up.

Kero rubbed his eyes restlessly and looked at her, "what, dinner already?"

"I sensed and Clow Card Kero, but it was a little different" said Sakura.

Kero woke brightly with confusion, "but how?"

"Well your suppose to tell me, Kero!" said Sakura shaking him around. "all right! All right!" said Kero transforming into his larger form. "Ah, Kero! You promised!" screamed Sakura letting go of him.

"I know but you were shaking me" joked Kero changing again.

"Kero, could a Clow Card become free?" asked Madison, her gentle voice breaking the tension.

Sakura sat by Madison on the floor pulling her hat off. Kero hovered in the air thinking legs crossed.

"Unless..." mumbled Kero, Madison and Sakura listening intently, "it could be..."

"NO!" said Kero. "What Kero?" asked Sakura almost jumping up.

"I can feel the power also, but it's not any you've captured. I bet the kid lost one!" replied Kero shaking his head. "Li?" echoed Madison.

'Why would Li do that?" asked Sakura impatiently, "but it doesn't feel normal."

'Go find it then, Sakura" said Kero pressing his face on the window.

A bolt of lightning crackled outside in the dark clouds, "but Kero...." groaned Sakura "its going to rain."

"You're a card Captor, Sakura. You sense something, go find it!" demanded Kero; pushing his arm out pointing, "eh, I'll be here waiting" smiled Kero.

The rain began to pelt at that moment and Sakura's face turned reluctant, "tomorrow, I promise."

Kero's smile turned to a frown, "Sakura!"

'Kero, I have all the Clow Cards, there cant be anymore."

"Sakura's right Kero" smiled Madison.

That night while Sakura slept, the rain continued to pelt at her window and Kero sat looking up thinking.

HE turned and looked at Sakura, "there are more Sakura, the very first Clow Cards. Clow Reed's practice cards. Much stronger than any you've faced" whispered Kero, he turned back and gave a deep sigh, deep in thought.

"Good morning Kero" burst Sakura stretching, "why are you one the window sill?"

"Ugh? Oh, I was watching the rain. Aren't you late for school?" replied Kero. Sakura's face fell blank, "on a Saturday?"

Kero rubbed his head nervously, "oh. Clow Card then." Sakura dropped to the floor, a sad expression to her face. "You promised" broke in Kero, hovering near her head. "I know, you don’t have to use it against me" protested Sakura gripping her fist together.

"If dad and Tori aren't home can you ring Madison for me?" asked Sakura fluttering her eyelids, "all right!" agreed Kero.

As Sakura got dressed, Kero bounced around the telephone dial pad.

"Hello. Taylor residence" spoke the receiving end. "Is Madison there?" asked Kero lowering his voice to sound human. "Who may I ask is speaking?" asked the girl on the other end. "Kero."

The phone made a crash noise on a table and then Madison picked up "hey Kero. Is she going out?"

"Yeah. She wants you to come, if you can," said Kero.

"Of course I can, we'll meet at Penguin Park" chirped Madison. Before Kero could answer Madison had put her end down.

At that moment Sakura stormed down the stairs and went straight into the kitchen, Kero followed.

Sakura took an apple from the fringe, "did you ring Madison?" asked Sakura taking a bite. "She'll meet us at Penguin Park" told Kero. Sakura nodded.

At Penguin Park Madison waited for Kero and Sakura, small children played on the slide and in the sand.

A breeze filled Madison's blue dress and hair.

A blue headband sat on her head and a basket on her arm.

"Madison!" called Sakura running up to greet her, waving her arms around.

Sakura was wearing a short sleeve beige top and light brown pants. Backpack on her back and hair up like usual.

Sakura pulled to a stop breathing deeply. "Where's Kero?" asked Madison smiling.

A muffle came from Sakura's bag and his head popped out, "here I am," he said cheerfully.

Madison's hand dug into her basket and a cup cake was pulled out, "here Kero."

Kero's eyes watered with joy, "CAKE!"

The feeling fell over Sakura again at that moment, but it was different, "someone is watching us" she whispered. "What do you mean, Sakura?" asked Madison concerned.

"I can sense someone watching us" repeated Sakura. The bushes rustled and Sakura, Madison and Kero turned to look at it. A ginger cat jumper out and sprinted away with fear.

From the bushes a multi colored mist formed and rose out spreading around.

Kero sniffed the air, "Chili?" "What?" said Sakura and Madison in unison. "I smell chili" he repeated.

"Oh, no! I smell it too, but it smells, weeks old" screamed Sakura, pinching her nose.

Madison grabbed her nose also, covering her mouth trying to breathe.

The children behind them in the park screamed out, and ran away as the mist tumbled over them.

"Eh, that's not chili, I don't what it is, but its bad" said Kero casually, finally covering his mouth.

"What could it be?" asked Madison through the muffle of her hands. "Can we go Kero?" asked Sakura; Kero shook his head violently, "no! Get your stafe out! It's definitely a Clow Card."

Sakura pulled her key out and summoned it, with her words. It sat in one hand, and she held her nose with the other, "now find it, it may be in the bush!" commanded Kero, pointing at the bush where the mist had came from.

Sakura gave a reluctant shake of her head, but then began to step forward, Madison pulled her camera out and began filming, "it's been a while" she said gladly forgetting the smell briefly.

Before Sakura was even close, and blonde haired girl jumped from a tree snatching Sakura's stafe from her hand.

Her top was light blue silk with navy ties across her chest, and her pants were black and flared out at the bottom slightly. She wore black boots, and her hair was tied confidently up in a mess of ribbons and clips, with a long blonde fringe to both sides of her face.

Sakura stood gaping at the events, Kero hovered mouth dropped and Madison stayed still surprised with the film still taping.

The young girl - Sakura's age - stood up close to the bush where the mist was still forming. She held the stafe up into the air, and chanted Sakura's words;

"Smell card! Return to your power confined!"

Underneath her feet the ground formed the same pattern as Sakura's, but pink. The mist reformed into the bush and a small card, flew out landing in the girl's hand.

She dropped Sakura's stafe and jumped back up into the trees where she disappeared.

"What was that?" asked Sakura in puzzlement, finally finding the will over her shock, to move.

Kero let out a sigh, and shook his head slightly.

Madison was silent, her mouth had also dropped slightly, but she found the words to say, "I have it on tape."

Sakura and Kero looked at her suddenly, " I don't sense anything anymore" said Sakura and Kero in Unison, "good! We'll go see who this girl is" continued Kero.

Sakura picked up her stafe and returned it to its key form.

At Sakura's house, they played the tape Madison had made of the mysterious girl, but it was no avail. Her face wasn't caught on the tape and they were more confused, then when it had happened.

Sakura, Madison and Kero sat on the floor in Sakura's room and Kero thought to himself.

"Kero, who could she be, and how did she know how to use my stafe? And what is the smell card? I thought I had all the cards!"

Kero looked at her grimly shaking his head.

"What?" asked Sakura slowly. Madison moved in closer, some how intrigued.

"There are a few more, but they are much more powerful, and dangerous. Today was one of them, but it was probably the weakest of them all."

Sakura looked confused and Kero continued "Clow Reed made practice cards, to test the final ones, which you and the kid have. They were the very first Clow Cards ever made, but very few knew where they were, unfortunately I wasn’t one of them."

Kero's face was serious as Sakura and Madison looked at him awestruck.

"I don’t know how they were released or about that girl" finished Kero.

Sakura was on her knees now with her clenched fists leaning forward, she let out an unwanted sigh and crumpled her face.

"Oh, this is exactly like Li in a way, and Meilin" said Madison. 'Hey your right Madison, and Eriol" replied Sakura pulling herself off the ground, "too bad he went back to England, and Li back to Hong Kong, they could have helped us."

"A second" whispered Kero, "what Kero?" asked Sakura dizzily, Kero shook his head "another Clow card" he mumbled, "get ready, we're going."

Madison reached her hand into her basket and fabric was entangled between her fingers, "I made this one In case" she smiled holding it out to Sakura.

Sakura took it reluctantly and put it on when Kero and Madison left the room.

The door opened soon after and Sakura observed her outfit, "I like this one Madison, its definitely tamer than usual."

Sakura was now wearing a then velvet dress of maroon. It glinted in the light. Its sleeves were long and pointed , twisting around her middle finger. At her waist was a thin gold tie pointed at her front, going right around and the dress reached down to the ground, but high enough not to trip.

Sakura was wearing sneakers, which were exposed as she kicked up to test her movement.

Outside the weather had turned cold and Madison shivered, but Sakura was warm in her new battle costume, which resembled something medi-evil.

In the not too far distance a twister had formed and was blowing dirt their way, ripping trees up.

Sakura ran closer with Madison and Kero following.

"At least no one is here" sighed Sakura in brief relief. "Think again!" came a voice close to them.

It was Sadako, the mysterious girl from earlier, but she was dressed differently.

Her outfit was entirely pink.

Her stockings were pink with darker pink shoes attached. A faded dress sprawled out and she wore a pink vest over a white open jacket. The sleeves had a pink pointed cuffs.

She wore a pink hat with a single white feather sprouting out the top.

Around her neck was a black ribbon and her eyes were perfectly blue, light to dark.

In Sadako's hand was a stafe. One end had a dark pink ball and the other spread out into a blunt upside-down triangle. Crystal webbing entangled a diamond shaped gem and two tassels hung from each side.

All that could see of her hair was her long blonde fringe.

"Who are you?" asked Sakura stepping closer to her but she stepped back, looking at Kero. Suddenly she dropped to the ground on her knees bowing to Kero, mumbling. 'oh guardian, forgive me, I did not see you" was what she said, but then a crunching noise and a bang lifted her and she stood close to the tornado, barely standing.

Sadako held her stafe end up and muttered, with that a bright light formed from the gem in her stafe and it shot at the tornado.

The twister disappeared and a small boy lay in front of her. A lightning bolt printed on his forehead, half covered by his crow-black hair.

His eyes were wide and innocent, but he pointed his index finger to the ground.

Immediately a raging earthquake shook the ground and they all fell over.

The ground around the boy shot up and rolled further out pelting at Sakura, Madison and Sadako. Kero flew higher to avoid the stone and dirt. "Seal it Sakura!" demanded Kero pointing at the boy.

Sakura pulled her key out and transformed it into her stafe.

"Oh, no you don’t!" said Sadako standing. She quickly glared at Sakura then avoided the next wave of earth, rolling toward her.

Before the boy had noticed, Sadako was right in front of him slashing the air with her stafe, hitting him on the head, causing him to fall. A whimper formed as he looked up teary.

"No, he's only a boy" called Sakura running to stop her, but she had already began to chant her incantation;

"Kaeru Saigai

Odosu iie sara ni ooi

Kaeru!"

The boy's body broke down into mist and formed into a card.

Sadako took it in her hand and walked over to where Sakura stood, puzzled.

The card was held up to her face, "so this is just a boy?"

Sakura looked down in shame, "no."

Sadako bowed her head to Kero and began to walk away.

"Who are you?" asked Madison suddenly, moving closer be hind Sadako.

She turned and moved closer the Madison, "Sadako Yuki Saiwai" she replied.

"but that sounds Japanese" said Madison examining her over, "you don’t look or sound it."

Sadako widened her eyes, 'I was born there thank you! My parents taught English" snapped Sadako. Madison stepped back slightly.

"Welcome to Readington" said Madison putting her hand out to shake. Sadako eyed it suspiciously, "I haven’t just moved here, I’ve watched all your captures and I’ve been a card captor longer than her!" Sadako's hand shot out pointing at Sakura, who fell over with nervousness.

Sadako looked back at Madison lowering her head. I was four when I was given the choice and I took it, and I’ve had the responsibility ever since." Sadako’s face turned grim, "I’m supposed to stop Sakura and Li, they may use the practice cards in the wrong way."

Madison stood dazed at the new information, "What do you mean?"

"Ginga told me they may, and I’m going to make sure they don't. These aren’t the same as the second cards, these are stronger and merciless, they have no feelings."

"Ginga is Japanese for Galaxy" smiled Madison, "what was Galaxy?"

Sadako hesitated to answer, 'I shouldn’t reveal too much' she thought.

"My guardian, a small silver dragon, but she was eaten by a wild Clow card, one I’ve caught," she pulled it from the pocket inside her jacket.

The card was light yellow and in the center was a picture of a 5-year-old girl, pressing a dagger into her stomach, but the face was calm.

"Sacrifice" breathed Sadako, "it ate her and I couldn’t help, I was only 6 years old."

Sadako pressed two fingers to her forehead and disappeared.

"Sadako?" asked Madison puzzled, "she disappeared" said Madison turning back to Sakura and Kero.

"you have competition, Sakura" said Madison, "what?" asked Sakura clumsily.

'Sadako, she's been a Card captor since she was 4 years old, and seems to know more than Kero." Kero crossed his arms furiously, "never!"

Madison nodded, "she had a guardian."

Kero's mouth dropped "who?"

'"Galaxy or Ginga she said, a small silver dragon" said Madison.

Kero let out a sigh, "we do have competition. Ginga knew about the practice cards."

"Lets go to my house, all the questions will be answered by my tape, " Madison held her camera up confidently, smiling.

all right, Madison!" said Sakura.

They listened to the film and the questions were answered, except for two.

"What would Li and I do and how did she disappear like that?" asked Sakura.

'Her magical abilities are far more than you Sakura, possibly even more than me."

"But how Kero?" broke in Madison.

"We guardians thought It a myth, but there was a story about girl of strong magic, stronger than anyone even almost more than Clow Reed. She would be born at exactly 12:00 am October 31st, all hallows eve, and stop the final Clow Card from destroying our dimension, the perfect card."

"The perfect card?" asked Sakura double-checking.

"Yes, Clow Reed meant it to be perfect in everything, but it back fired.

The girl's parents would name her Sadako, and it was also said her power is witchcraft."

Sakura and Madison gave a gasp each, "witchcraft?"

"Not bad, only for good like anyone else, but what could you and the kid do?" said Kero.

"Stop her, you know how Li can be" suggested Madison.

"Possibly" agreed Kero, "we have to keep Li away, if possible, if he rings, tell him every thing is fine, that way only one person can be here to ruin the fate of the planet." Sakura looked at Kero shocked, "Kero!"

Sakura couldn't sleep that night, her thoughts dwelled on Sadako and everything she had heard her say, 'how could I ruin this dimension?' thought Sakura before finally falling into dream.

"Wow paint" said Sakura as she looked around, and her walls of paint, like a canvas being painted, everything moved around like a painting, with the brightness of colors.

"Kero?" called Sakura cupping her hand around her mouth so it would be louder, but there was no reply.

"Dad? Tori?" called Sakura down the stairs, but again no reply. Sakura began to walk down the stairs, but slipped on the wet paint, sliding down, hitting the wall.

"Hey, this isn't my house," cried out Sakura, noticing the downstairs was much different. It was back-to-front, everything opposite to how she remembered.

It was dark and cold, and the air was stale like old water.

Sakura treaded gently down the stairs and into the hall. ‘Hello?" called Sakura looking from left to right, but no one answered, "hello?" she repeated.

"Hello Sakura!" replied b rasping voice, its chilling voice sending chills down Sakura’s spine. "Who is that?" asked Sakura, trying to hide her terrified voice.

"I’m your friend Sakura" it replied. ‘Where are you?" asked Sakura, looking around.

"Every where Sakura. Sakura. Sakura. Sakura." The voice chanted her name over and over.

"What are you?" screamed Sakura cold fear running through her veins.

"You really want to know, alright!" replied the rasping voice. Directly in front of Sakura appeared b pale Grey figure, round but small.

It just hovered in the air for seconds, then seemed to roll in the air, making itself bigger and bigger, until b face rolled over.

Gleaming white teeth, sharp like razors it sneered at Sakura. Its eyes were yellow and blood-shot, red. The Veins pulsating, like breaths.

Sakura’s body froze over so she couldn’t move, the Fear curdled and she wanted to leave but couldn’t, the fear holding her feet to the ground and her limbs stiff.

"You wanted to know what I was… take b guess!" it sneered. Green colored breath coming from its mouth as it spoke. It smelt of death.

"Yep, a ghost" it continued.

Sakura’s eyes were wide with disbelief and fear, suddenly, she found the courage to move, and like lightning she ran back up to her room, pulling the table in the way of her door.

Sakura panted as she pressed her body against the table, her feet sliding on the paint ground, and her body sinking into the table, but she pulled out.

"Sakura? Are you alright?" came Li’s voice.

Sakura stood from pushing against the table, "Li?"

"Yes Sakura, it’s gone. I got rid of it" replied Li, talking through the door, ‘it’s gone now."

"Really?" checked Sakura. Li’s reply came quickly "yeah. Let me in. Please."

Sakura gently pushed the table back away from the door and to its place, beside the paint-dripping wall.

She opened the door slowly, and Li stood there, wearing his battle costume. His hand was rested against the doorframe, as he looked in at Sakura.

"Oh, Li" sighed Sakura, wrapping her arms around him, "where are we?" she asked.

Li put his arms around her gently, ‘I don’t know" he replied as he began to laugh.

Sakura looked up at him awkwardly, but it wasn’t Li, it was the ghost from before, he had changed into Li to trick Sakura.

"Why are you doing this?" cried Sakura, trying to break free, but couldn’t, the grip was too tight. The creature sneered and laughed louder and louder, its grip tight on Sakura.

"Sakura? Sakura!" pushed Tori, pushing at Sakura lying in her bed, "Wake up squirt!"

‘Oh man, how lazy’ thought Tori.

"Get up! Madison is here" said Tori pushing Sakura more, but her breathing remained deep and she didn’t wake up.

Tori returned down to Madison, "I have to go, she’s in her room, but she wont wake up. Maybe you can" he explained. Madison smiled and nodded, holding her basket confidently. Tori grunted and left.

Madison knocked on the door, and pushed it open. Kero sat beside Sakura, trying to wake her up. He turned as Madison entered, "this isn’t good."

‘What do you mean, Kero?" asked Madison, putting her basket down.

"Sakura usually wakes up when Tori or I try to wake her, but she’s not. All night she tossed and turned, I am worried" replied Kero.

"Sakura?" whispered Madison, "I have a new battle costume." Madison’s voice was teasing, as she opened the basket for Kero, revealing it only had her video camera.

"Well I thought that would work" said Madison, looking at Sakura. Kero hovered over to Sakura’s ear and screamed into as loud as he could, ‘Wake up Sakura!" but she still didn’t wake.

"Kero this isn’t good" commented Madison. Kero nodded.

Right then, Sakura’s top half of her body jolted up sitting, in its place asleep, then it fell back down and started to toss and turn.

Kero flew up into the air, and Madison was pushed off, landing upon the floor.

Sakura’s body continued to jolt furiously.

Suddenly the front door was hitting by a pounding hand. Madison looked at Kero, "should I get it?" Kero shook his head, but the knocking didn’t stop. Madison stood up and went down to open the door.

"Sakura, wake up, please" pleaded Kero, fear pushing his body on.

"It’s you!" hissed Kero looking at the door.

Their stood Sadako, her stafe at hand like always, she was wearing a school uniform, of navy blue.

It was a plain dark blue skirt with a white collared shirt. Over the shirt was a navy blue cardigan with the school symbol across the left breast. Sadako wore it buttoned up. Her hair was tied up plainly, in a single blue bow.

On her back was a navy blue bag with a larger symbol, and attached to the zips clips were key rings.

"Well what a welcome, you may be the beast with the golden eyes, but your not very polite" replied Sadako, "but to more pressing matters, what’s wrong?"

"She won’t wake up" explained Madison, "before she was tossing and turning, she even sat up."

Sadako thought for a moment. Then Sakura began to jolt again, this time screaming out, "help! Help!" Kero moved closer, "we’re trying Sakura. Wake up!"

"She can’t hear you" said Sadako. ‘What do you mean?" asked Kero and Madison in unison.

"It’s the dream card, anything she misses, fears, loves, likes, anything she would think about, is all mixing together, creating a world, she cant escape from" said Sadako.

"How do we help her then?" gasped Kero. "Well I don’t want to, but as it is a card, I need to" sighed Sadako. Kero hardened his gaze onto her, "well good!"

Sadako leant down beside Sakura’s bed and looked at her, then at Kero and Madison, "Whatever I do, don’t stop me; you could kill both of us."

Madison stepped back and nodded, Kero looked at her suspiciously then nodded.

Sadako looked back at Sakura as her body calmed. She then touched Sakura’s forehead with her index finger. In an instant Sadako was unconscious.

"Hey! Where are you?" cried out Sadako, cupping her mouth with her hands. There was no reply.

‘Man what a weird girl’ thought Sadako, looking at the walls, ‘why would any one want wet painted walls? How lame.’

"well she’s not in her room"

"Girl! Sakura, where are you?" said Sadako.

From down stairs there was a crying sound, like a small child, so Sadako followed it into the living room.

She pulled the door open slightly and in the center of the room was a coffin, dark brown and varnished. The room changed into a plain room, with green pot plants in each corner, with no window. The lights were on, draping down from the high roof.

Behind the coffin was a little girl, with golden-brown hair a green eyes, she looked no older than 3 years old.

The small girl was crying, leaning against the coffin, "come out and play mommy."

"she can’t" came a voice by a corner. A small boy with black hair and innocent eyes stepped out of the shades, his eyes red from crying. "She’s dead!" continued the boy, as he ‘stormed’ out the door, passing Sadako casually.

"I didn’t mean to mommy. I didn’t mean to. I’m sorry I was bad, please come back now" screamed the little girl.

Sadako finally found the time to speak, "Sakura?"

The small girl looked up, "I didn’t mean to kill mommy" she cried.

Sadako approached the coffin gently, and Sakura looked up, "Did you play with mommy?"

Sadako nodded rolling her eyes back, she then pulled the coffin open and inside lie a body, Sadako was confused.

"Mommy!" cried Sakura, "Please come back. I didn’t mean to kill you."

Sadako watched as the face changed, forming into Li. Sadako looked up and Sakura was older again, but she only looked down at Li, unaware of Sadako.

"Li, I’m sorry" whispered Sakura, "I’m sorry, but it will never bring you back" her voice sighed as it began to cry again.

Sadako then realized how to stop the Dream card. ‘It’s in the coffin’ she thought finally.

With that Sadako lifted her stafe in the air and began her chant:

"Kaeru Saigai

Odosu iie sara ni ooi

Kaeru!"

Blue cloud forms, swirled inside the coffin, the lid snapped shut as it began to bounce in its place. Sakura looked up, but she couldn’t see anyone, "who’s doing that? Not a ghost I hope, please stop it." Sakura’s head shook from side to side, but she still saw no explanation.

The coffin lid flung open and the blue mist turned green, and pushed up through the air to Sadako’s stafe. A card then began to appear, as the mist disappeared.

The card was green edged, and in its center was an animal, that looked much like an egyptian cat, but misty.

As the card was captured, Sadako’s body left Sakura’s dream.

Sadako’s body jolted as she returned to the living world, "where is it? Where is the card?"

Sadako reached her hand into her pocket and pulled out the cards she already had, and there on the top was the Dream card. She gave a relaxing sigh, then stood with trouble.

"Thank you, so much" thanked Madison, her eyes alive with happiness.

Sadako, bent over and began to breathe deeply, "that’s ok. I wanted the card anyway."

Kero hovered by speechless, then words came to him and he said them, as angrily as he could, "why are you breathing deeply? If your so strong why are you breathing like that?"

Sadako forced herself to look up at him, "because – because that is a lot of energy to go into her dreams, more than you can even imagine" explained Sadako, but Kero had sparked something in her, so she began to leave.

As she reached Sakura’s door she turned and spoke, "by the way, your friend there is very weird. Is her mother dead? What about Li?"

Madison stepped forward, holding both her hands in front of her, ‘her mother, but Li isnt. Why?"

"Who cares why! Sakura is a card captor, we’ll let her find out" roared Kero. He then transformed into his larger form, and glared at Sadako.

"And the loser award goes to, Kero" laughed Sadako. Kero stepped forward, "say that to my face!" demanded Kero. Sadako knelt down on one knee in front of him, stared him right in the eye and spoke "and the loser award goes to Kero." She stood again.

"Kero, don’t be like that" pleaded Madison. Kero looked at her, and moved back.

Sadako then left, with Madison follwing her to the door.

‘What did you see in Sakura’s dream?" asked Madison.

Sadako looked at her awakwardly, but then spoke without reluctance, "there was a coffin, and inside was a women. Sakura was a little girl, and a boy stepped out from the corner, I think it was her brother only younger. Then Li was in the coffin. Sakura mumbled about killing them, it wouldn’t surprise me."

Sadako turned with her school bag and left.

Madison returned to Sakura’s room. Kero was much smaller with his arms folded angrily across his chest.

"She is bad news. We have to stay away and capture those cards at any cost," said Kero. "Kero, you were like this when Li came to Readington. What if she was right about Sakura and Li?" asked Madison, in concern.

"The kid would destroy everything, but Sakura wouldn’t" replied Kero. Madison nodded in agreement, but she wasn’t sure.

"Oh" moaned Sakura, coming to.

It was late afternoon, when she aroused. Madison had sat waiting all day for her to wake. Kero had fallen asleep waiting, so everything was quiet.

"Sakura?" asked Madison. Sakura opened her eyes slowly, then closed them again. "Sakura?" repeated Madison. Sakura looked up at her, "Madison" said Sakura cheerfully in a sleepy mood.

"What are you doing?" asked Sakura, pulling herself slightly out of the bed.

"I was waiting for you, sakura" replied Madison.

Kero awoke at that moment, "Sakura" he whispered Sakura looked at him awkwardly, ‘why are you saying my name as if I’ve been dead?"

Kero looked at Madison, "you didn’t tell her?"

"I didn’t get a chance" replied Madison. ‘tell me what? Tell me what?" asked Sakura eagerly.

"Sakura, one of Sadako’s cards had possessed you. You were stuck in sleep. Sadako got rid of it for you" explained Madison.

‘What do you mean Madison?" asked Sakura densely.

Kero stared vaguely then turned to Sakura angrily, "Sakura! Don’t act so stupid, we have a bigger problem. You were possessed by one of these other cards."

"But how?" asked Sakura.

‘We can’t be sure" replied Kero, " I know very little about these".

To be continued...... (soon - getting there)
