Wedding Bells

* Inspired by Kira's idea from her story, which I haven't read yet.... Sorry! *

It was years after Sakura and Li broke up and many things changed. They both good friends, but Sakura moved away from everyone on a college scholarship. Madison also, but the pair met when they could on holidays.
Li remembered Sakura's departure sorely.
He had slept in and missed seeing his beast friend off.
"Where's Li?" asked Sakura impatiently to everyone as her plane number was called.
Nikki, Madison, Rita and Chelsea cried with Sakura as they hugged 'goodbye.' Adin kissed her and Tori hugged her, she saw a glint of tear swelling.
Jullian hugged her next, he held her longest, but she pulled away walking towards the plane entrance walkway.
She turned back and waved, disappeared around the bend. At that moment, Li came rushing up panting, in his hand he held a small box.
Madison looked at him wiping her tears away, "she's gone" she told him.
Li stopped breathing for a moment in shock and ran to the wide window, dropping the box.
Madison picked it up and opened it, inside was two rings. Engraved in them both were the words 'Li and Sakura forever.'
Li stood pressed against the window calling Sakura's name as she climbed the stairs into the airplane, but no one heard him over the noise and bustle of the airport.

Li remembered it from what Madison had told him before going herself.
Now he fumbled with the box, wanting to forget.
Li's mother had talked to him about it often, "Li, you can't help what happens in the past, no matter how many times you can go back, it wont change" she had said, before Li moved out, to live with Zac.
Zac wasn't much help, he had parties and no job, leaving Li to pay for the rent, but somehow he overcame the pain and paid attention to his studies becoming a photojournalist for the Readington Times.

Li opened a letter his mother had given him, suprised.
It was from Sakura and said she would be coming back soon, and had news to tell everyone.
Li felt a mixture of emotions, he felt happy of Sakura's return, but sick also and sicker at the word of news.
Li read the date, "March 12th" then realized, "but that's tomorrow!"
Zac sat up from where he lay "what?"
Li fell nervous and Zac took the letter and read it carefully, then began to laugh.
"What?" asked Li angrily. Zac looked at him; "she's going to give you hell."
Li shrugged, but did care and hoped she wouldn't.

"Dad! Li!" cried out Sakura, waving to them, as she got off the plane.
She ran to them both and hugged them, then a man came up behind her, putting his arm around her.
"This is Morgan," said Sakura putting her arm around him also, "Morgan, my dad and Li."
Morgan put his hand out and shook.
Li was jealous and looked Morgan over.
He had light brown hair and dark brown eyes. He dressed well also. 'I can't compare to him' thought LI.
"What's the big news?" asked Adin anxiously.
"Wait. Madison is coming, we have to wait for her plane" replied Sakura.
They sat and talked while they waited for Madison to arrive, Li fiddled with the box in his pocket.
"Sakura!" called out Madison over the voice in the airport, 'Sakura!"
"Madison" cried Sakura, running to greet her. They hugged blissfully, then pulled away looking at each other. "You've changed so much," said Madison, "as have you" replied Sakura.
Madison turned and looked behind her, "Evin" she waved.
A tall man moved close pulling a cart of luggage.
"Sakura, this is Evin my fiancé" said Madison, holding up her left hand, a gold ring sat on her ring finger and it was twisted like a vine.
Sakura was awestruck, "a lot has happened since we last saw each other, how long?" asked Sakura, "too long" replied Madison as they hugged again.
'Li is here" breathed Sakura. "Yeah so?" asked Madison puzzled. Sakura held up her left hand revealing a diamond ring, which sparkled, brightly, 'I don't want to tell him."
Madison's face lit up like a city of lights. 'He will understand" said Madison reassuringly, "how long until the wedding?"
Sakura looked down, "the 29th of this month, it's a full moon, so I want Kero and Yue there."
"That is soon," said Madison. "Will you design my dress, or don't you do that anymore?" asked Sakura taking Madison's hands, "please."
"Of course I will" said Madison smiling, "now lets go see Li, is he cuter?" Sakura nodded, "four years has done him well" she whispered.
Evin followed them.
Evin had dark blonde hair and blue eyes. He wore thin-framed glasses and comfortable clothing.
"Madison! Hello" hugged Li; Madison looked at Sakura and nodded.
"Hello, Mr. Avalon" bowed Madison. 'Madison, please it's Adin."
Sakura turned to Morgan and whispered in his ear "when we get back, I have to talk to Li, alone." "Why?" asked Morgan calmly. Sakura looked at him, "he's my best friend and well, we were together a while and our engagement may be hard on him."
Morgan looked past Sakura at Li, "alright" he smiled.

Madison and Evin caught a taxi to Madison's old house after they made plans for dinner that night.
Li went with Adin, Sakura and Morgan, in his car, but no one spoke.
"I've missed it here" broke in Sakura looking out at the window at the blue skies and green trees.
"And it had missed you" whispered Li, looking out the window by him.

When they arrived back at Adin's house, Adin showed Morgan around the house and Sakura took Li by the wrist pulling him down the street.
'What - What is it Sakura?" asked Li, as he was pulled along.
Sakura let go "just a walk."
So, they walked together, but a silence fell over them until Li broke it, "I'm sorry I wasn't there to see you off."
Sakura stopped and looked at him suprised, "it's ok. Madison told me you came late, I forgive you."
"So, how is Kero, Yue and Jullian?"
"Kero knew you were coming back, as did Jullian, but I haven't seen Yue" sighed Li, "oh" replied Sakura as they continued to walk.
"What's the news?" asked Li, finally.
Sakura looked at him, nervously; "please just tell me, Sakura" pleaded Li.
Sakura held up her ring finger where the diamond sparkled almost blinding.
Li's heart sank and an image filled his thoughts of Sakura pushing her hand through his chest and pulling his heart out.
"Li?  Li?" asked Sakura, at Li who stood dazed out, suddenly he stepped back and tripped over a concrete slab sticking out of the path.
"Are you alright?" asked Sakura concerned, Li grabbed his head and stood up, "yeah. I have to go."
Li sped away and left Sakura to walk home alone.
That night as Sakura and Morgan met Madison and Evin at the restaurant, Sakura felt guilty.
'Sakura, are you all right?" asked Madison, while Morgan and Evin were in deep conversation. Before she answered she stood, " I have to powder my nose."
Madison followed her to the ladies room.
Sakura leaned on the counter looking at the image reflected by the mirror.
"What is it?" asked Madison.
'I think I really hurt Li" said Sakura "I showed him the ring and he ran off."
Madison looked at her, "oh, there's something I was going to tell you, but didn't. It's from when you left."
Sakura looked at her, "what?"
"Li dropped a small box as he stood at the window and watched you go. I looked inside and there were two rings, both saying 'Li and Sakura forever.'"
"Oh," said Sakura, "I'm going to do something, but you can't tell a soul." Madison nodded and Sakura told her. They went back out to Morgan and Evin.

Sakura went to her room where Kero was asleep, Morgan looked at him, "so this is Kero."
"Kero. Kero?" Said Sakura waking him; "oh, Sakura I came here while you were at dinner, but I must have fallen asleep" yawned Kero. "It's alright Kero, this is Morgan, I've told him about you and the Clow Cards, we're getting married" said Sakura, "wow, really?" asked Kero, "what did you dad say?"
Sakura gasped, "I haven't told him."
She ran down the stairs to where her dad was and told him, leaving Kero and Morgan alone.
"So, your a guardian beast, a bit small aren't you?" said Morgan. Kero eyed him angrily, "not you too."
Kero transformed and pinned Morgan to the ground, "now who's small?"
"Kero" screamed Sakura coming through the door. Kero looked up "he called me small."
He transformed back and hovered out of Sakura's reach. "Are you ok?" asked Sakura helping Morgan stand. He nodded.

As Sakura and Morgan lay in bed they talked, "Sorry about Kero, he's always like that" apologized Sakura, "it's ok, I wasn't you know."
"We'll have to see Li tomorrow, only he knows where Yue is," said Sakura, Morgan seemed reluctant, "ok." they both went to sleep.

"Hello Mrs. Showron, is Li at home?" asked Sakura as the door opened, "oh hello Sakura, sorry no. He lives with Zac at 37 Pickford street, flat number 6 I think" replied Li's mum. "Thank you" bowed Sakura. 'Come for tea sometime" waved Li's mum, "ok" waved Sakura back, as she and Morgan went down to the car.
Sakura knocked on Li's door as Morgan looked over the railing at the ground below, "whoa, this is high."
"Is Li here?" asked Sakura unaware that it was Zac she was talking to.
"Yeah" grunted Zac letting them in.
'Oh, Sakura" said Li looking at the time. It only read 8:30am on a Saturday.
Li was only wearing cargo pants and his muscled chest was bare.
"Li, can we talk in private?" asked Sakura, "uh, sure" he said standing and walking to his room.
"So, what is it?" he asked turning to her.
Sakura looked around his room; "this is no more than a test, Li. All right?" Li nodded puzzled, "sure?"
Sakura moved closer to him and kissed him, he was suprised but returned it.
Sakura didn't mean to kiss him for so long, but she couldn't help it.
Li was the first one to stop, he pushed her away, "you can't! Tests like that don't last that long."
"I know, I'm sorry" replied Sakura sorely, but she didn't mean it. Kissing Li felt so right to her, but what could she do?
Silence filled the air as they stared at each other. "Can you get Yue to come to my wedding? It's the 29th of this month at 7:00pm, a full moon" asked Sakura leaving Li's room.

Sakura and Morgan left and Zac went into Li's room, "I don't like that Morgan dude." Li stood still, "the 29th." 'Huh? What?" asked Zac getting comfortable on Li's armchair. Li sat on the edge of his bed; "she's getting married on the 29th that's just over 2 weeks" replied Li, not believing it.

"Sakura, I'll take Morgan out with me" said Adin, Sakura nodded and kissed Morgan goodbye. When they were gone, Sakura called Madison.
"I did it, I kissed Li" told Sakura, "and?" asked Madison, "what did you feel?"
"It felt like I should be kissing him" sighed Sakura. "And what about Morgan?" asked Madison, "it's the same, but I'll stay with Morgan. We're engaged" replied Sakura; "we can't speak of this again." "All right" replied Madison and they hung up.

28th MARCH -DAY BEFORE THE WEDDING
"Here is your dress," said Madison, handing Sakura a light pink ox. 'Open it" said Nikki, Rita, Madison, Chelsea and Kate (friend from college.)
Sakura pulled the dress out and it unfolded elegantly. Sakura disappeared behind Madison's dressing screen. Her clothing flipped over the top and she finally came out.
'Madison, it's so pretty" said Sakura, pulling it down.
"Yeah, I want one" giggled Nikki. Chelsea poked her, "since when do Biologists need a dress? Have they changed the lab coat?"
"Ha, ha, ha" joked Nikki.
The dress was pure white. A gold ribbon tied around her waist, stitched in.
The sleeves were long and the end dangled down to her knees (Like Meilin's battle costume).
The bottom of the dress was long and seemed to be larger at the base for feet space.
"What about the veil?" asked Rita, "oh, I don't want one, I've just got a silver tiara" replied Sakura sharply.
She returned behind the screen and came back out dressed with the box, putting it on a chair, near by.
'I'm glad you all flew here for my wedding" said Sakura, "of course" replied Kate, "like I would miss it." "Exactly!" said Nikki, "so, who are you brides maids?"
Sakura looked at Madison ad Madison stood, taking a pile of boxes with her.
"All of you are" said Sakura taking the boxes from Madison, handing them out.
They all opened their boxes and silk dresses of pale blue were pulled out.
"Wow" said Rita standing and pulling her dress to her chest and looking in the tall mirror.
Chelsea spoke "there's your dress, Nikki."
The dresses were exactly like Sakura's wedding dress, but blue.
"Why blue, Sakura?" asked Kate. "My blue brides maids, I just need something old and new" replied Sakura
"You have something old already" mumbled Madison "and I can give you something new too."
'What?" asked Sakura.
"Kero's key and this" replied Sakura unlocking a wooden boy by her bed. She pulled a silk pink satchel with a ribbon tied around its neck, out.
Madison threw it Sakura and it landed in front of her. She picked it up and inside was a silver ring with a small butterfly on top. Paper was rolled up in its circle. Sakura pulled it out and read it.
"There is someone out there who will think the world of you, so nearby you will find that person, Sakura.
Make sure you do" read Sakura, everyone listened.
"Your mother gave this to my mum on her wedding day, incase something happened. I guess she was right," said Madison grimly.
Sakura put the ring on her right hand and smiled, "we had better go, it's getting late and we have to get ready early. Remember, meet here at 1:00pm for our hair and make-up."
"Bye Madison" waved everyone.
On the way home, Sakura decided to walk, she read the note over and over.

Sakura and Madison waited for all the girls to arrive. 'I can't believe it's today" said Sakura nervously, 'neither can I" whispered Madison, "how do you feel?"
"Fine, what do you think? I'm very nervous, I don't want to through with it," replied Sakura.
"Cole feet" said Samantha as her head poked through the door. "Mum!" said Madison; "the hairdressers are here."
"Where are my brides maids?" panicked Sakura, "this is an omen, I know it."
"No, it's not," said Nikki, opening the door further, "it's only 12:55" she said looking at her wristwatch.
"I'll tell the hairdressers to come in then," said Samantha.
Kate, Rita and Chelsea came up, all holding their boxes.
"I can't wait to see everyone's outfits," said Nikki, as Nicole, a hairdresser held and clipped her hair up. "I've already seen Zac's, very impressive" nodded Chelsea.
"Yeah, the theme wedding was a good idea," added Rita. "I remember the invitation, Princes and Princesses theme' and I remember the fine print, no one dress better than the bride does" giggled Kate. Sakura turned away and blushed.
Nikki's hair was first finished, it was twisted and sat on her head, "lucky I brought these," she said, pulling a small box out of her jeans pocket. She took her glasses off and put the contacts in.
"Wow, Nikki, you look so different," said Madison who had two dressers working on her.
"You have lovely hair, but it's so long" said Lisa. "Sorry" apologized Madison.
Rita and Chelsea's hair were the next finished, they were identical to Nikki's.
Kate's blonde hair went up easily, leaving Sakura's hair to be done.
Lisa, Nicole, Bethany and Crystal stood discussing Sakura's hair, "like a princess, what can we do?"
Bethany had an idea; "do we have ribbon?"
Crystal nodded, "clips? Hairspray?" they nodded.
"Ok then, I have an idea."

When they had finished Sakura's hair, it was around 4:00.
"You look like a princess Sakura," said Madison. "We left your fringe out, it makes the whole effect" said Lisa looking at her.
Sakura's hair was in a tangle of hair with clips and ribbons all over the place, but it looked really good.
"Make-up" said Sakura. Madison and Sakura watched as everyone's lashes were curled, eyebrows plucked and face 'painted.'
Even they're nails were painted pale blue to match the dresses.
It was quickly Madison and Sakura's turn, but Sakura's nails were painted pearl white.

When everything was done, Sakura took the money from her bag and paid the girls $200 each.
It was now 6:00 PM and Sakura was shaking, "I can't do it: she mumbled while drinking a cup of tea. "Don't give her coffee" joked Kate. They all laughed.

At 6:30 PM they all got dressed, Sakura over came her nervousness and handed everyone a maroon velvet box each. "These are yours," she said.
Inside were silver necklaces with a small charm of a flower, the Sakura.
"Oh, thank you," said Chelsea wrapping her arms around Sakura. The others did also making a groups hug.
In the Limousine, they put the necklaces on.
Sakura pushed her Mother's ring further up her finger, and made sure Kero's key couldn't be seen.
"Why don't you have flowers?" asked Rita distressed, "I don't want them with us" replied Sakura.
The limousine drove to an alley behind the church and they all climbed out and through the door into a secret room in the church, as the guests arrived.
"It's time," said the priest. Cold fear ran over Sakura.
The church looked beautiful. At the end of each aisle was a pink bow and behind them were snapdragon flowers.
At the door, Sakura greeted her father, who kissed her on the forehead, "I'm sorry Tori couldn't be here, but please be happy." Sakura nodded.
Kero and Yue sat on the balcony seats where no one could see them. Li sat with them.
Nikki and Rita walked out, followed by Kate and Chelsea. Then Madison who waved to Evin slightly as she walked by him.
The organ began to play and everyone stood looking at the door.
Adin escorted her and sighs filled the air at her beauty. Li watched silently.
"Who gives this women away?" asked the priest.
"I do," said Adin kissing her cheek "remember, happy" he whispered, taking his seat.
"Is they're anyone here who had reason for this ceremony not continue, speak now or forever hole your peace" said the priest.
A hush fell and no one spoke. Li held the box and fumbled with it. Suddenly he stood up "wait!"
Everyone watched as he jumped from the balcony. Yue and Kero ducked, so no one would see them.
"Li?" said Sakura.
'I can't let you do this without knowing how much I love you. Let me read a poem and then I'll go" said LI. The church filled with whispers at Li's actions.
Sakura looked at Morgan who was shocked in his tux and then at Li dressed like a prince.
He was wearing a red coat with gold buttons and trims. White pants and black shoes. He was fumbling with the pockets, finally pulling a piece of paper out.
"As long as forever
I will stay by your side...
I'll be your companion
Your friend, and your guide.

As long as I live
And as long as you care...
I'll do anything,
I'll go anywhere.

I'll bring you the sunshine,
I'll comfort your fears,
I'll gather up rainbows,
And chase all yours tears.
As long as forever,
My love will be true,
For as long as I live,
I will always love you" read Li.

"That's so romantic," said Kero teary, wiping his nose with Yue's clothes.
Li began to walk away, dropping the paper.
Morgan saw Sakura's eyes, "Li" he called.
Li turned around. "I love Sakura, but it will never be as much as you, which I want her to have. You marry her" said Morgan taking Sakura's hands into his own, "thank you for the four years, but he loves you more than I ever could, Thank you," his last words whispered.
Sakura was over-joyed; she kissed Morgan on the cheek "thank you also."
Morgan stepped aside and sat with Adin watching.
"Are you sure?" asked Li, standing beside Sakura, she nodded and the wedding continued.
They wore the 'Li and Sakura forever' rings and kissed, finally becoming man and wife.

At the reception Li and Sakura danced to 'Thank you for loving me' by Bon Jovi.
Sakura spun around and Li pulled her in closer.
Sakura rested her head on Li's shoulder, "thank you" she whispered. He leaned and kissed "your welcome."
